Dinastia Vivanco use some of the latest technology in their expansive winery, alongside traditional winemaking techniques, creating fruit driven, bright, bold, modern Rioja. Beautifully balanced, with ripe red fruit, spicy oak and smooth, rustic tannins, this is the ideal wine to cheer on Mr Jimenez. Cigars optional!

Dinastia Vivanco Reserva 2004 (Rioja, Spain)
It’s going to be a hot Easter, full of cloudless blue skies and the smell of barbecued lamb fat. Bliss. I recommend a butterflied leg rubbed with the holy trinity of garlic, rosemary and thyme and chucked on the coals until the outside chars and the inside is a juicy pink. The Journey There

Shuffling through the terminal and aboard the Spain-bound plane, the anticipation of what was to come, what was to be seen and tasted was latent behind sleepy faces. Sleepy faces were soon …
Some Pictures from the Wine Future Conference in Rioja
Some of the biggest wine bods on the planet have gathered over the last couple ofdays to discuss the future of wine. With the power and reach of Twitter and live blogging, the rest of the world has been able to follow what’s going on (should they be that way inclined!). It sounds like there were highlights, especially presentations from Gary Vaynerchuk (top picture, far left), Robert Joseph and Ryan Opaz (top picture, 2nd from …
