Quinta do Vallado Moscatel Galego 2009 (Douro, Portugal)

Quinta Do Vallado

A hugely underrated white, the Galego is packed full of aromatic citrus fruits, as well as rose and pink grapefruit characteristics. Produced by Vallado’s excellent winemakers, the juice is refined with a great balance of fruit and acidity. Perfect summer drinking!

A Weekend Wine (1): Quinta do Vallado Douro Tinto 2007

A few of us were lucky enough to visit the Douro Valley and Quinta do Vallado in Portugal a couple of weekends ago and more than a few bottles of this fantastic local wine were drunk. Part of the celebration was to say goodbye to Bibendum legend Dan who has manned this blog since almost the very beginning.

The big fella is off to Australia in January but it’s definitely ‘see you later’ …
