It is truly an amazing part of Italy. My friends house is way up on a hill called in a village called Mombacaro. On a clear day you can see the Alps. The food is so fresh and simple and real. As for the wine well… lets just say we are heading back for the Alba Vinuim wine festival in April – cant wait!

Please note my mistake on this that Barolo is made from 100% Nebiolo and is not a grape variety in itself. Barolo is in fact the region from which it originates.
