And the bottle goes to…

Thank you all again for making it to the Bibendum Times tasting last Wednesday. The Saatchi buzzed for 9 and a half long hours and a record number of people attended.

But the virtual side rocked as well. Going through the twittersphere we were flattered to discover more than 450 tweets bearing the #btimes.

After a long and meticulous sorting process we managed to dig out our 6 favourite tasting notes:

@pinteresque: Adored much-mentioned Estapor Venir Mezcla Tinto (Mexican) at #btimes. Smooth & really well-balncd, peppery, huge berry flavs but not sweet.

@NathanMeyers: SAAM ‘Heldersig Pinotage Viognier 2008′ – slightly tannic with red and black fruits, great bouquet due to Viognier #btimes

@DunellsWines: BIBENDUM TASTING Wow! Wow! Wow! Everything from Alois Lageder. The superb dry Gewurztraminer is a real revelation. #btimes

@grapefan: #btimes Silver bullet gruner intense peach aromas with lovely palate weight and some minerality. And all in a 50cl bottle. Great!=

@KaveyF: #btimes is quite a revelation for a sweet-toothed wine neophyte like me. Dr Loosen’s Reisling Beerenauslese both crisp and syrup sweet. Mmm!

@DrapersArms: Els Pyreneus Garnatxa Blanca from NE Spain by mountains my interesting pick. Load up with some if that for the summer #btimes

As promised a bottle of Prosecco Jeio from Bisol will make its way to each of the winners.

But #btimes was much more than just the wine. So if you miss it already here are few tweets that will summarize the big day’s events:

@ryanopaz: Sleepy in London…time to get on my tasting boots…#btimes is ahead and I plan to get my teeth red! :)

@imbibeuk: The whole team is stopping in at #btimes throughout the day. Much like everyone else, by the looks of it.

@firestartr: Rumour has it Bibendum Times Tasting 2010 is so popular it’s brought Twitter down. Be back soon! #btimes

@plonkdrinker: Have you ever seen so much wine !?! Wonderful #btimes

@scandilicious: Enjoying picnic lunch at bibendum wine tasting with @willielebus @goodshoeday @R_McCormack and @zoharwine #btimes

@ChrisCMitchell: Congratulations to the #btimes team on another fantastic event (and very well done, EJ!) Great products, great presentation…

@R_McCormack: Completely wazzle dazzled by todays wine tasting at Bibendum. Learned so much, tasted more. Brilliant day. Big thanks to all. #btimes

@EssexEating: Home!!! after 7 hours of boozing, what a cracking time! Great to see everyone at Bibendum – too many to list. #btimes

@kennethkawamoto: A colleague just told me in her train home last night everybody was raving about Bibendum wine tasting. Great event indeed it was! #btimes

And finally the ones that couldn’t make it, but wish they did:

@oohfood: Maybe I should sneak out to #btimes . It’s only fifteen minutes from the office, would anyone notice?

@FoodUrchin: Jealous of all the peeps making it to #btimes today, wish I had the guts to blag the day off work

@MathildeCuisine: I feel all alone not being at #btimes

Without being overly sentimental, all these comments makes us proud. Seems like our blood sweat and tears managed to produce the best wine tasting of 2010!
